INSPECTION OF EXCELLENCE INITIATIVE

JUNE 19, 2019

VORHÖLZER FORUM OF THE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF MUNICH

DECEMBER 2018 - JULY 2019

PROJECT LEADING & -MANAGEMENT

Since 2019, the German federal and state governments have been using the Excellence Strategy to promote scientific excellence, research collaborations and the profiling of universities – and, for the first time, on a permanent basis. In 2006, the Excellence Initiative made the Technical University of Munich (TUM) one of the first German universities of excellence and gave a lasting boost to its successful development. The Excellence Strategy is implemented by the German Research Foundation and the German Science Council.

The inspection by the Science Council took place simultaneously at three different buildings. The big challenge was to meet the high technical requirements of the individual demo stations as well as to ensure a smooth process during the set-up, the rehearsal, the inspection and the dismantling. To give you a figure, a total of over 70 displays and smart PCs were set up at around 30 stations.

Many thanks for the great experience and the close cooperation – we keep our fingers crossed that TUM will remain an Excellence University.
